Loxley House Family Practice began at 46 Keppel Street, Bathurst on the 25th April 1983. We are a family medical practice located in Bathurst, committed to providing a comprehensive medical service to you and your family. Our mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach toward diagnosis and management of illness.
Doctors and Nurses are committed to promoting health, wellbeing and disease prevention to all patients. We do not discriminate in the provision of excellent care and aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect.
The experienced and friendly reception and nursing staff are happy to be of assistance. All patient information is protected by a strict code of confidentiality and the National Privacy Principles.
Loxley House Appointments
Consultations are by appointment Monday through Friday. Please phone after 8.00am to organise your booking. Saturday morning emergency consultations are with the on call doctor. Please phone the surgery on the day after 8.30am.
Saturday afternoon and Sunday is covered by the Bathurst After Hours Medical Service. Please phone 02 6333 2888 for help or present to the Bathurst Base Hospital.
To maintain a high standard of care we give adequate time for each consultation, but if you feel you require a longer consultation, please advise our receptionist when you make your appointment.
Phone Calls
If you need to speak to your Doctor for results or advice please let the receptionist know and they will leave a message for the doctor to ring you back when available.
Email is not a secure form of communication and is not encouraged by Loxley House Family Practice for this reason. Patients must be aware that any communication they direct to the surgery via email is also NOT secure and confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
House Calls
House calls are provided for housebound patients. If possible, please ring before 11.00am to speak with your doctor to organise a suitable time. For safety reasons you must be a regular patient of the practice for over a 12 month period to qualify for house visits. If you require a home visit after surgery hours please call Bathurst After Hours Medical Service 02 6333 2888.
